Nice helpful reception area where you check-in and given clear instructions and a map to enter the ward. Staff are efficient and nice. Food is pretty good. Parking is expensive as expected

I was here for nearly 2 weeks and although enough was enough for me in the end, I cannot fault my stay here.Everyone of my nurses were totally amazing and the student nurses will make brilliant nurses. The cleaners and tea ladies were also amazing. My Drs were fantastic also and thankyou.I can't praise the lovely young lass who took my food orders everday enough. She has a very special manner about her .And of course the food was very nice and I was definitely overfed lol. There is nothing that could of been done better.Thank you to everyone of you xx

Had my first child back in 2017, had very bad experiences. Was told by others that everything will be provided by the hospital but was asked why didn’t I bring my own breast pump by the rude lady who brought it to me when staying in hospital. Asked for more nappies when running out and was told that I should brought my own. I thought this is how private hospital operates until I had my second in other private hospital. Worst experience ever, hope it’s no longer like this now

The nurses are absolutely amazing. I was in recovery post-op for longer than expected and the nurses were so lovely and treated me so well and attended to everything I needed or requested. 10/10 experience :)

I broke my leg and needed plates and screws inserted. When I returned to the ward the buzzer was out of reach and I couldn’t get a nurse so after half an hour I rang the hospital on my mobile phone was put through to the ward and asked for a nurse to come. I’m a private patient. The next day being non weight bearing I needed to go to the loo, I waited a while hoping a nurse would come, eventually I pressed my buzzer and 20 minutes later a nurse came.I am currently being discharged and it can’t type how ridiculous it is at the moment it is shocking.Dreadful experience, absolutely disgusted with Ramsay and Joondalup hospital

Hubby was in the Joondalup Private Hospital for 2weeks before he had surgery a couple of days ago. He was not returning to the ward he was in and I was given the runaround by nurses... from both the ward he left and the one he was going to. I was sent back and forth. As there was no where else for me to wait for the surgery to finish I went to the reception at the private hospital with a lovely gentleman from the laundry service dept (I think) accompanying me to reception. . I was very emotional at this stage. I explained the situation to the reception staff so they could check if his surgery was finished. There were no updates on the system. I waited at the entrance area. One of the wonderful staff at reception made me a coffee as the coffee machine was ‘out of order’. She even gave me a little chocolate snack. I so needed this. When there was finally an update these 2 wonderful ladies contacted where he was going after the surgery to confirm I could go to my hubby. OMG the reception staff even called for an orderly to wheel me there in one of the hospital wheelchairs. Thank you very much Sarah Davies and Erin Heslop. If only more receptions had staff like you two ladies that really go beyond there duty. Again thank you.

From the moment we arrived at the admissions desk, through to discharge, our entire experience at Joondalup Private was second to none. All the staff, nurses, doctors, cleaners, reception staff, catering staff etc were so lovely to myself and daughter Daisy.A special mention to the lovely lady at admissions that wished Daisy well and even remembered us the next day when we left - you absolutely made our day! It’s personal touches like that, that make the entire experience a lot easier!

Never again! The worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. The nurses were rude and condescending. This is by far the worst hospital in WA. The patients are treated worse than cattle. You are pushed in and out with no concern for your well being or comfort especially after surgery. It’s more of a railway station than a hospital. After just undergoing abdominal surgery under general anaesthetic, I was expected to sit in a chair for 2 hours! I was told I couldn’t remain in the bed, but I couldn’t leave yet because I needed to receive another injection to prevent blood clots. So why not just leave your patient in a bed till they needed their medication? No idea. When it was finally time to receive the injection, she gave it to me in my stomach while I was seated in the chair, which was not only painful but left a terrible bruise. Extremely disappointing. We have good private health insurance, it costs us a fortune. We expect better care. Never again Joondalup hospital never again!
